The Munchie Movement was founded in April 2017 by a group of college students at Contra Costa College. Our goal was to improve social well-being amongst the houseless by providing meals, company, and cannabis.

 

Our foundation was built on the idea of autonomous individuals coming together to provide for those who need it most. Through personal contributions and generous donations from local businesses, we've hosted monthly feeds around the Bay Area to provide for those in need.

 

As millennials, we wanted to encourage and inspire others to do the same. Under Proposition 64, we've legally provided various cannabis products (pre-rolls, tinctures, flower, extracts, etc.) to adults who are 21 years of age or older without any compensation whatsoever.

 

We provided cannabis for its medicinal properties to combat symptoms of depression, insomnia, pain, PTSD, etc.
